2nd Annual Boot Scootin Foodie to Feature Great Music, Food and Fun for All
Put on your cowboy boots and hat, saddle up, and get ready to lasso up a good time – and for a good cause! The United Way of Hays County, a non-profit organization that supports the local community, announced its annual fundraising event to be held on September 25, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Texas Old Town Event Center in Kyle. The 2nd Annual Taste of Hays County, Boot Scootin’ Foodie, presented by CenturyLink, will feature restaurants and businesses from all over the county.
This exciting event will include a silent auction, live entertainment by Hays County’s own Crystal Creek Boys and all the great food and drinks you can handle. Each featured restaurant and businesses will have one or two menu items for all attendees to sample and then vote as to which is their favorite.
The event’s venue promotes a unique, Texas Hill Country experience. With a night of food, music and dancing, the Boot Scootin’ Foodie is an exceptional way to take pride in the county and support the local community.
“The Boot Scootin’ Foodie is important to our organization,” said Michelle Harper, executive director of the United Way of Hays County. “Our goal is to publicize what we and our partner agencies do to help the 50,000 Hays County residents who rely on our programs and services in addition to promoting our local restaurants and businesses in the community.”
